Uh, did I say that? Even on their DVD "some kind of monster" Lars was talking about modern sounds and they should try to go towards something more like that, and Kirk got pissed and said he wasn't interested in trends. (especially cause they weren't gonna play leads to much or whatever) Bands are always going to go in a diff direction, but when a band who's inspired many metal fans, then tries to sound more like THOSE bands, that's pretty dumb. It's sound like a bad version of THEMSELVES.
