It's all to set the stage for my entrance. Tell me something I don't know, every one and his dog knows, the problem is no one is doing anything about it, cowering in opinion and Gossip. It can all change in an instant. The Macro is a reflection of the Micro. Fear is keeping us from Peace, fear of each other, blaming, teasing, swearing, the little things in life. Take care of the little things and big things will work themselves out.

If I may, I´d like to recommend a couple of videos more that help explain why democracy is only a myth, why the War has to keep on going and why it is almost certain that McCain will win the White House.1. Money as Debt (five 10 minute videos, right here)2. Zeitgeist (3 videos, more or less 2 hours total.Do a search and watch them, maybe they´ll show some stuff you didn´t know already. Then again, maybe not.

Its actually NOT easy to sway people by propaganda. That's why the entire US media system is essentially one big propaganda system. That's why federal elections only have 50% turnout. That's why the only guy to get a paying audience during last election was Nader. It's true that people WILL be swayed, especially if they hear no other voices, and few critically. Did ANY mainstream media question the war before it happened? Why don't unions get ANY press coverage apart from strikes? etc.

IF the US were an actual democracy it would be a far different place. Stronger labour, environmental laws, few, if any, foreign wars, and more equitable tax system. IF 'the people' and not an elite ruled. A SMART elite would probably act in the interests of that group (in fact if you are 'smart' you are MORE likely to only represent your own group). The fathers of confederation were VERY smart, thats why they were AGAINST democracy and wanted to protect their own class interests.

Anarchy means 'no leader'. Democracy means 'rule of the people'. Same thing. In swiss villages the people meet once a year and vote on the issues together-thats democracy. A system that 'assumes' that some people are smarter than others and should lead is the definition of oligarchy. In a democracy people CAN choose to have UN conventions and courts to protect minorities. However, states with citizen initiatives fare no worse than others at protecting minorities (theyre often better).

Your idea about intelligence and ability to do the job is EXACTLY my whole point, and I have worked out a detailed system whereby this government can work. I am currently writing a book about this.It seems to me that we need a new evolution in government. Beyond democracy and beyond socialism.Let us embrace SOPHIARCHY.

It's easy for the masses to be swayed by propaganda, voter disenfranchisment, wealth, religion, and fear. As such the ruling Elite can sure that whomever they want elected gets elected. It's a Hegemonic Plutocratic Oligarchy, I would prefer a system of Liberal Social Technocracy. We'd still have a ruling class but that class would be based on intelligence and ability to do the job, not who has the most money and friends. Social education would prevent classism and promote progress.

Hey Pope,Good point indeed. If we say that there are no democratic governments, but that democracy is simply a mechanism for selecting a ruling elite, much is clarified.And certainly it is utterly illogical for a ruling elite to be chosen by a majority of voters. Propaganda is always more effective at swaying their minds than truth, and so the elite are filled with the ranks of lying demagogues. It is a fundamentally flawed philosophy and methodology.
