I enjoy reading the comments about this huge talent. And to think her mother almost aborted her. And I'M pro-choice--but I thank God (don't even know if I believe) that we experienced the MAGIC of Ms. Garland.

Jud was made to feel conscious about her weight throughout her career. The visual medium, be it film, video, photography, whatever, adds pounds to subject - therefore, you can imagine, Judy was actually THINNER than how she appears here. A cruel indictment on the entertainment industry and to societ's obsession with looks..

Judy was considered "too glamourous" by the executives at CBS, the producers of her weekly show! They wanted to bring her down a peg or two, and therefore she was virtually degraded before the tv-watching public's eyes.However, her pure artistic genius shone through all that, they could not diminish her brilliant talent. I love her sense of self-awareness, her emotional intelligence and, last, but not least, her capacity to affect her audiences through song.

Judy takes your breath away with the intensity of emotions she displays - not just here but almost always when she performed a ballad. JUST FABULOUS!!!!

Very low key but intimate and heart wrenching... as ever...Garlands exceptional talent overwhelmes me time after time. I cannot understand I have such a soft soft spot for her...
