You are very wrong regarding your Fallujah comments. That place was a hot bed of terrorist activity well before the contractors were killed there. It was the epicenter of car bomb manufacturing almost from day one. Explain how Fallujah was caused by Blackwater again and not Saddam releasing all the prionsoners from the nearby prision in the first days of the invasion as well as the being one of religious centers of Al Anbar infested with former Bathists. But yeah go ahead blame it on the USA

believe me,the critisism of blackwater goes way beyond Liberal left I`m all for an open money driven marked on manufacturing and doing regurlar business, I own a cnc machine myself and have a small businessbut war, it`s another thingthe government needs trenaperency over what`s happening and money sshould not be the driving forceBlackwater has done a shitty job in Iraq, remember fallujah?the seeds to the insurgency was planted fallujah was caused by blackwater incompetence

Perhaps that could be true but the decision was made to get with more experienced personal with Blackwater rather than green 18yr old recruits. An invasion of Iraq was planned in 1990, and has gone over subsequent changes leading up to 2003. Black water has done a good job in Iraq, mistakes have been made but like Haditha Leftists and Europeans have made up their mind before the facts emerged.

"get combat ready troops into action right away."no, probably not within weeks, but most of the troops would have been ready for peacekeeping missions early onwhat was needed in the begining was additional troops which could guard the nathional museum, hosptitals, pumping stations for water e.t.cthe Iraq invasion was scetched out imidiatly after 2001 9/11 (maybe even before)Blackwater is still operating heavily in Iraq7 years...

What does cutting a base do it doesn't get combat ready troops into action right away. Yes I am saying that the USA needed the help because their budget doesn't go into funding a gigantic standing army. They cut the size remember in the 90s. But because of Blackwater they are able to employ people they trained to their standards immediately and not have pay for them in peace time. Black water atrocities are over blown and recent acquittals prove that. They are trained enough for Obama to trust.

The real reason for Blackwater in Iraq is that these soldiers gives the American government a possibility to have people on the ground that does the dirty work and who operate in the loophole between military code and Iraqi laws also, they do not show up in the statistics of U.S soldiers killed in combatface it, when Bush made the mistake to invade Iraq, he should have sended more soldiers, just as the chief commanders advised him to do

"live with it"I`m notthe one living with it, I live in Denmarkthe people "living with it" are in Iraq, and concerning employing Blackwater, it can be no doubt that this was both a humanitarian and financial disasterare you really saying that the military who spends just as much money on the military as the rest of the world nead "first aid" from private security forces?you could just cut one military base in Germany and you wouldn`t need blackwater
EasyEs (July 21, 2008 at 12:56 am)
I can. Due to budget cuts in the 1990s to national defense it became apparent that the best way to quickly get people into security roles that meet the standard of the US military was to employ those former service men who are employed with Blackwater now. The logistical support of these forces is already in place and not with the US military which is why re hiring them wasn't an option. Sure Ideally you would have everyone as a solider but you don't. Live with it.
