Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier-Thrilla in Manila. Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay) and Smokin Joe Frazier battle it out in the third and final fight between them on Oct. 1, 1975. Muhammad Ali is defending the heavyweight title he took from George Foreman a year before, in one of the biggest upsets in boxing history. Foreman had taken the title from Joe Frazier in 1973. Man, what a great fight, not many fighters today could fight that pace and in that heat as well. Both men are among the greatest of all time.

man this round they were fighting of of pure heart but ali dug deeper but they both were great todays fighters wouldnt have had a chance against either

Both men were great. Ali got the upper hand after he successfully blinded Frazier in 12th round. Still, Frazier showed a lot of heart by keep chasing Ali from end to end. I always wondered what will happen if they continued for the final round.

Ali, in one of the toughest fights of his entire career, was quoted as saying, "It was the closest thing to death that I could feel." Another version had Ali saying, "It was like death. Closest thing to dyin' that I know of."
