Great video of a legendary match. I remember watching it on TV. Why the music, by the way? It would be much better without it, especially as the commentors are Ramón Trecet and Esteban Gómez (es él, ¿verdad?) And oh, Kostas Rigas, what a classic. Thanks!

in the NBA, players get so much about defense, that they just evolve as players. Oscar lost a great chance to be just a better player. if he was well trained defensively, this 'weak spot' in his game would have become much more softened.and due to his athletic ability, that's the same thing...Nene won likew 40 pounds when he joined the NBA from Brazil, so i think american coaches could have done a great job on Oscar, too. well, they always do. :]

I remember reading a scouting report on Oscar Schmidt back then: "He'll score 40 in the NBA. His man will score 80."

Oscar is one of the great international players. Would have love to see this guy play for the NBA during his days...this guy is fun to watch in the his Olympic stints....

Oscar was a great European player but wasn't athletic that athletic so he wouldn't have been able to get his own shot in the NBA. In the NBA, with its 24-second clock, he'd have been exposed. Someone on this board had the nerve to say that Petrovic was more talented than Jordan. Jordan was one of the five best athletes ever -- as well as the best player ever. Even Petro, as cocky as he was, would have told you that.
