rather, Joseph Addison. Who I'm not sure was a member of the Scriblerus Club. But, was certainly dead before 1750.

I love this clip. I think its my favorite scene from the movie. I think what is most interesting is that The Lady Orlando is sitting with the Scriblerus Club. Alexander Pope, Jonathan Swift, John Arbuthnot. This scene would have had to happen earlier than 1750 as all three men would have already been dead. I don't know who the countess is, but she's fantastic. I watch this smiling every time.

She is also wearing what are referred to as bucket panniers. They were so called because they resembled baskets worn on either hip. They provided a rigid underpinning, similar to hoops worn in the Elizabethan and Victorian eras.
