well, kawharm, it's gas powered so you'd still need to buy gas along with the cost of the spider itself

It's not so much about any advantage, it's more about building a vehicle with a rather unique method of locomotion. Might not be much of a use for it now, but then again the same goes for most experiments and prototypes.Got to give it to these guys for putting a lot of good work and thought into it either way. Its one very cool machine. :)
