Before 2,700 pepole died in the World trade center, no one would ever think of such a thing would happen. But it did happen! Therefore why no one ever learn a lesson from that tragedy? I do not understand! Do people know the temperature insde a burning building is so highthat no one could ever use the firestairs?! It is like an oven! Therefore my solution is to have sky bridges connecting multi-towers! We should not build single tower any more! ---dancewu(dot)net

to godfather770 - I guess you can relate your therory to the Titanic. It was supposed to be UNSINKABLE and at the time, the best engineers each had a turn at it and we all know where it is now!!! Just because you throw some money at something, does not mean you get your money's worth. You are dealing with peoples lives here and no amount of money in the world can replace that.

I am interested in how they plan to pump 80 stories of shit down a constantly rotating piece of real estate. My, what a mess for some unlucky plumber!! OH, I almost forgot, What if you are on your 80th floor penthouse in your car ,on the carlift and that lift decides it wants to make a nosedive to the ground??? Just bend over and kiss your ass goodbye!!!!! Some things should remain on the drawingboard. HOWEVER, it does look pretty!!!

Isn't it just disgusting that projects like these are taking place in Dubai, a place where big business lies upon oilfields and blood? I love the enginuity and design, but I'm baffled as to how anyone would be able to build something for these pompous asshole princes and still be able to sleep at night.

Stairs and elevator are probably located in the center, non-mobile tower. I suppose getting in there without worry the tower moving would be based on the fact that it won't move that fast and the center section may have wide open gaps to step through.

The main reason to make them rotate is to avoid wind problems with large skycrapers, so there's nothing to do with banality or spending extra money, see the benefits. Remember Dr Emmet Brown from Back to the Future: "If you are creating something why don't you do it with some style?"
