Toto was forced to accept Byron because of the groups bad track record with singers. Byron is no doubt a great singer, but could you see him singing Toto's heavier tracks like Goodbye Eleanore, or I'll supply the love? I think that was one of the reasons he was fired as well as his stage antics.I don't think the Kingdom of Desire album would have come about with Byron on vocals.

Toto was forced to accept Byron as lead singer. The only reason he was fired was because of his on stage antics when they played live.

I reckon Byron was the best ever lead singer with Toto - maybe I'm biased as I used to go to a little club in Rosebank Johannesburg just to hear him sing around twenty years ago. Anyone else been there?
