I think he uses mixers that has i believe what is called the reverse hamster switch, i dont think he hooked up the tables in reverse, some people prefer this reverse switch for the fader because it has a more natural feeling.

why did he put the channel to the table (his right) he was scratching on the left side (to him) on his mixer? is it just a preferential thing? because whenever i hook up my tables to my mixer, i like to keep the tables corresponding to the places on the mixer. ex. table 1 goes to channel 1, table 2 goes to channel 2, etc. i'm fairly new to this, so that is why i'm asking.
