It's a chicken and egg situation. You need economic growth for corruption to decline. If Bono only want to increase his own reputation, he wouldn't associate himself with Bush and others.

He's an opportunist. He said so himself. He might be good person but it's only because he has the opportunity to be one. "Do something yourself"? Go tell that to the Africans he's trying to help. Not everybody has the opportunity to do something.
