There is a plan to build high-speed train service from Sacramento to San Diego, a trip that is expected to take 2 hours and ease congestion at SFO, SJC, and LAX. The USA is nominally the richest nation in the world, but its transportation system is on a par with many third-world countries.

They need to be very careful. Those 4 phase motor (through DC inverters) are seimens units...the rotors have a known problems with seperation due to instantaneous changes in angular velocities. I would never ride in this deathrap
