I wonder if the ruling elite in the US would allow the workers to establish their own militias?

combatphotog21 (3 days ago).......But isn't it the USA's responsibilty to stay there and fix what we broke?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Like in Viet Nam, the best thing the US can do, is to pull out. Staying in Iraq is only delaying the inevitable. The sooner the politicians realise this, the better. After the present occupants of the White House are sent packing, the US has enough domestic problems to keep Americans busy for at least three decades into the future.

Blackwater will be the group that will gun you down under lawful orders for thinking your vote should count, or when you blieve that you should have civil or human rights.

Like in Viet Nam, all of king george's horses, and all of his men, will never be able to put Iraq back together again. After the morally despicable invasion, the only way the US can save face, is to get out fast and clean. That thought seems crazy to most Americans maybe, but the US should prioritise internal affairs higher than anything else for the next 100 years. Then, and ONLY then will the US return to the once respected position it enjoyed in the post WW II era.

Private Military Companies are bad for USA because they are loyal to nothing but the dollar. However, PMCs are necessary in Iraq b/c the US doesn't have enough troops over there, if you wanted to counter this, we should institute a draft, this will not happen though b/c its political suicide. Iraq is a BS war. But isn't it the USA's responsibilty to stay there and fix what we broke?

Private Military Companies are not the greatest thing for America, they are not loyal to anything but the dollar. However, b/c the U.S. military is so small and overcommited, PMCs are a necessary force in Iraq. The only way to get rid of PMCs is to institute a draft to compensate for lack of troops, this would be political suicide though, and it will not happen. Iraq is a BS war. But, b/c we went over there and fucked so much up isn't it our responsibilty to stay there help fix what we broke?

You could have been on the defence for the commanders of the My Lai massacre. I would rather diplomats go over there with bricks and mortar to rebuild, with the intention of having Iraqis make their own decisions and opening up a constructive dialogue with them. I would rather that these highly paid mercenaries did not shoot at death cults that have the potential to set the world on fire (the cartoons from Denmark anyone???)

It might be spread thin because; a) the pay offered by security firms dwarfs the indentured soldier, thus drawing reserve from the total operating forces and,b) the human rights abuses that flame outrage within the insurgency intelligence communities are ensuring constant holy / patriotic warriors.Do you ever think about the decisions of your leaders, or just follow orders (and believe in them cause ignorance is bliss)?

did you even listen to the clip? he mentions a large swath of different contractors. Military incompetence is no reason to loose mercenaries to... to.. uh.. wait, wtf are we trying to do over there again anyway? |
