Ahhh! She'd might as well ask Jose to go ahead and put pressure on her carotid artieries! This video is incorrect and dangerous, as already stated. Laying a pregnant woman on her back is going to put immense pressure on major arteries of the body, the vena cava being one of them. Side posture and a semi-reclined position are much better to use. Please, no one repeat what this video is demonstrating. It should be taken down!!!

hey stupid when your massaging woman who's that far long you need to put her on her side or provide back support or pretty soon her feet will go numb as the expanded uterus puts pressure on her arteries.

Forgive my bad English...From all I read here, I suppose that being laid on the back causes damages on the back of the mother, beacause the baby is, from the second trimester, to heavy. And pressure points on the foot are recognized by every doctors : To massage them without knowing how to do can cause early labor. This video is old, and medical searches proved that it's an exemple of what a mother to be shouldn't do.

Interesting to read all the comments, but: WHY is so dangerous? How can i cause an abortion by pressing some points on the foot? And what is the problem to lay on the back? I'm for the first time pregnant and read some books, but thought getting a massage is perfect for my swollen legs. Do you have more explanation on the reason for the statements or a helpful link? Thank you!

This is true, but I will say that during the 2nd trimester she is able to be on her back for UP TO ten minutes. I am certified in pregnancy massage myself, and its very clear that she is in her third trimester, when the baby is just to significantly big to have the mother on her back. She must be semi-reclined, or side lying.

I agree with all of you I only hope that nobody trys this at home I am currently enrolled to recieve my H.H.P. at Mueller and I will be Certified in pregnancy massage in January. Yet I still know that the mother should never lie flat on her back, anyone that has been pregnant knows that. Let alone during a massage when circulation is increased!!!

OMG How dangerous is this massage!!! The pregnant lady should ideally lie on her left side on a beanbag and be massaged by a qualified PREGNANCY masseuse, which clearly these people aren't so I agree, this video should be taken down!!!Pregnant ladies, contact a well-known brand that specialise their masseurs and certificate them. I prefer Elemis and E'spa pregnancy massages.

I absolutely agree with you. We have specialized in pregnancy massage in Orange County, California for over 17 years. This gal should take this video down until she learns how to offer SAFE prenatal massage!!
