I'd have to agree with you on that. The song musically IS a good choice for the show but the vocals are as you said distinct and part of what makes the song what it is which is why it becomes NOT a good song to pick.Losing my religion was Ryan's best cover. He just kick butt on that tune.

No he really didn't. Coldplay in general och Clocks in particular is a lousy song to pick for this type of contest. The beauty of Coldplay is the way Chris Martin sings like if he was a a girl This guy doesn't come close...
