Space is never a waste.George Bush should have given the trillions he wasted on that illegal war to the space program.

Chemical is still needed to get off the earth after that plasma or nuclear is the way to go.Now Orion and Ares are relics now that we'll have several private vehicle like dragon, and arctus many of which have capabilities that exceed Orion across the board.Heck the falcon 9H will be more powerful then Ares I yet cost a fraction.

Chemical rockets are a thing of the past, a feeble relic which must be pushed aside so that the more powerful and efficient nuclear rockets can send man to the stars and cement our foothold on the worlds of Sol.
