Crestview, Florida---A Labor Day afternoon traffic accident has claimed the life of a seventy four-year-old Crestview man. James Boydston was pronounced dead around 6 pm. Monday evening at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. Boydston was transported from the scene of an accident at State Road 85 and Live Oak Road by Gulf Flight air ambulance after the truck he was driving struck another vehicle and then flipped over in the middle of the road. A total of three vehicles were involved in the wreck that occurred around 2 Monday afternoon. None of the passengers in the other two vehicles were severely injured or required treatment. Wreckage from the accident completely filled the intersection, and heavy north bound holiday traffic on State Road 85 had to be re-routed down Live Oak Road for more than an hour as emergency personnel cleaned up the mess. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
