The elephant isn't the only wild animal that will attack you if you get close to it. Almost any animal the capable of fighting back will do that.

Males, often. They are more aggressive. And a mother will protect her infant, just like a bear. But generally - GENERALLY - the females are gentler. And when raised WELL from birth, by humans, often develop bonds that are just as close.The problem is getting too close to a completely wild adult elephant -lacking respect for its space.

I guess it's hard to know for sure, but if elephants really can hold a grudge and enact paybacks...that's just badass.

I also saw that they can remember pretty good. There was a documental about how long can they remember. There was a guy who helped a little elephant and keeped him for long before freed it in Africa. After 30 years the elephant could remember this guy, it was amazing :)) |
