I would guess not, since anyone who knows anything about storytelling knows full well B5 was anything but mediocre.

The first episode was pretty average IMO. Season 1 style, but the second episode was good. More along the lines of the latter seasons. Only problem is, they can't do a big covering story ark which was one of the strongest aspect of B5. Still, the universe and history of B5 is fascinating, so it's great having something new.

Babylon 5 was great. The lost tales was OKAY I guess, but it just wasn't the same.
