Tips to help protect against identity theft: * Check credit card statements, bank documents and financial reports every month for unauthorized activity. * Protect Social Security numbers. Don't carry Social Security cards in wallets or write the number on a check. * Don't provide personal information over the phone or the internet. * Never click on links sent in unsolicited email messages. * Keep personal info. in a secure place at home. "Your credit score is all you have" ?!? This is a B.S. propaganda video. FTC laws say CRA's (Experian, etc) must fix errors on your reports in 30 days. So what's the problem? They make so many errors (~100,000 disputes arrive EACH DAY) it's cheaper for them to break the law and pay off the occasional lawsuit, than to do the fixes the law requires. They want you to a) be scared to death of ID theft and b) believe it's your fault. Think how big these companies are. THIS IS EVIL PROPAGANDA.
