Do you have to keep from blinking when frozen?

It's also important to capture peoples reactions, not just the frozen people. The primary mission objective is to cause a scene and get reactions. At NYC, the event organizer (founder of ImprovEverywhere) improvised a random guy asking people what was going on, and that's how he got people to say what they thought about all of this.

I took the video and I realized afterwards that I was moving to fast. I knew the time limit for the event was limited, so I was just trying to squeeze in as many people as I could in such a short period.

I didn't notice any slow-mo (the camera was moving too fast, it didn't show anyone for long enough for me to be able to tell whether they were going at normal speed or slow-mo) but the freeze was cool.
