The F-100 flew for the first time a few months before the MiG-19, and was introduced into the Air Force the year before the MiG-19 was. The MiG-19 was the first supersonic Russian fighter.

The mig 19 was first. You are stuck in america universe. The EE Lightning was the first operational fighter to break mach 2.The usa isn't the only country in the world.

The NF-104 was a modified F-104 with a rocket. For training of USAF astronauts. 3 were built.

Oh oh oh? the BD-10 was the first supersonic homebuilt jet. Well, until the tail broke up and it disintegrated. and of course... click my vids, you'll find 3 of the only 5 on youtube of it, but mine are the only actual vids. and for those who don't know, the bd-10 came after the bd-5, eg coors silver bullet.

the F-104 was NOT the first supersonic fighter. The F-100 Super Sabre was the first operational fighter capable of going supersonic in level flight. The F-104 was the first operational mach 2 fighter. It's build like a rocket with wings.

The f-104 Starfighter was the first airplane to attain Mach 2 in level flight. The NF-104 was something else, lookup nf104DOTcom Robert W. Smith

Completely correct, I watched them fly at Luke in the 60's I can still remember their distinctive howl.
