They sure don't make movies like they used to.. I love Stargate, wish there'd be more science fiction films like this released.

This movie was done well, and was for the most part original. I sure enjoyed it.

well thats what happens when some1 else takes some1 elses story makes their own spin off of it and gets little things wronge. they need 2 get that shit right in my book. if ur gonna take some1 elses story and make ur own spin off of it then u should make ur facts in the story match.

What do you mean Abydos wasn't on the other side of the galaxy in the show EITHER?First of all, in the movie Abydos was on the other side of the UNIVERSE, not the GALAXY.Second of all, Abydos WAS on the other side of the universe in the movie. And I can easily explain the differences. The people behind SG-1 didn't give a **** about remaining faithful to the movie. They saw a premise they liked, and that was all.A backstory for the Stargate universe existed, but they ignored it.

THIS MOVIE ROCKS!

Don't be so weird. Abydos also wasn't on the other side of the galaxy in the show, either. There are going to be differences that they can't explain. That is a big part of the Science Fiction aspect of the series.

They desperately want the movie and the series to be 100% compatible so they willingly ignore the many discrepancies between the two. |
