I used to keep Tiger Salamanders for years. Now I never see them in the pet stores. Where can I get one now ?

You are correct. They are not related to lizards.

Corrent me if I'm wrong. It looks like a lizard to me, but in Biology class they told me that they are amphibians and not reptiles.

I was thinking about making a large 25 gal terrarium (half water and half land) for 2 tiger salamanders. I wanted the water portion to be 4" deep with an easy way to get back (onto dry land). I want it to have live moss, a waterfall, some guppies, ferns, drift wood, and some floating aquatic moss... The works! You think it would do fine in that? Or would the water just be a waste? Beside the eye-pleasing... Kinda like the one found at brianstropicals (.com)
