i know some people that say that they have problems with they're optical drive. some of them can't write dvds, others cds. i like the model very much but I am afraid about having the same problems with the optical drive. are you haveing problems with it???

just got my dv5t or what its called here is the dv5 1070 with 320 gb hardrive 2.53 ghz processor 9600Nvidea 512 card 4gb of ram all for just $1470. Good deal ye !

I hear you. I got a new laptop with Vista pre-installed 3gb ram 250gb HD 128 Nvidia card. And I honestly cant find anything about it that sucks. The last time I touched my Desktop with XP on it was to finish putting my music on the external HD to transfer it. And to let my little cousin play a game. But thats it. XP seems like a let down everytime I look at it. That computer just sits on the desk collecting dust. Its Going to my 5yr old cousin when I get my new desktop. He can enjoy whats it.

I'm getting this laptop, and I first viewed it in person today.The thing that I don't like, is the space on the sides of the keyboard (left and right).A lot... But I spose I'll get used to it.
