It's part of the game. Grow a set of balls. Of course those hits were high-Stevens is a tall guy. It's not like he ONLY hit people when they weren't looking, it's just that his best hits were when people weren't looking, which is obvious, because they can't prepare for the hit. By the way, Lindros had a bad habit of skating with his head down, which is why he got a concussion.

Good CLEAN hits! Stevens plays the game as it was meant to be played.

Those were not late hits. Those were good clean hits, if you want a late hit, look at the Janssen hit on Kaberle. THAT'S a late hit.

i think the kariya hit was a little excessive considering the size diff.but all that aside, scott stevens was and will forever be known as the most dangerous man on skates

Scott Stevens is the Wayne Gretzky of hitting

Scott Stevens is a hit artist... I gotta admit some of those hits were high but the clean ones were bone crushers!

:-) Attack from the deep ... (but I don´t whether should I write a smile there)

Scott Stevens ALWAYS hits late and from the blind side. Looking back its amazing he got away with it, if anything he is a reminder that elbowing and late hits make highlight reels. How tough is Ron Francis for tryinmg to get up. WOW

Amazing how everybody praises this goon, but now anytime there's a hit to the head - or even close - there are cries for major suspensions and bans for the offending player. Stevens was a dirty opportunist. ALL those hits were way up high, if not directly on the head of the victim. How anyone can put any kind of praise on this ape is beyond me. |
