Music is a passion not a competition. That's why I can't stand Nile, because most of it is simply to play fast for the sake of playing fast. Now I love their doomy stuff but when they do these thousand mile per hour songs with a million notes, sorry that's not a song that's showing off. Cynic and Athiest are technical but they actually write music, a lot of notes but it's for the music's sake not because they are trying to outdue everyone else.

I had a band and we started as a normal rock band but then we started listening to this and now wer a death black metal band strange how things are eh UNLEASHED!!! THEIR HEADLINING PAGANFEST WOOHOO!

That's the thing with music. Something might sound really good to someone, and they might think it's awesome, but at the same time, there's someone who thinks it's pure garbage and shouldn't be considered music.
