I found this band quite by accident. I love this song and it wasn't on YouTube previously, so I threw some photos together and made a quick video.

Music should inspire or die. Mike Scott does the former... and how.

The Waterboys were one of my early dicoveries back in the days of Walkmans and casette tapes. I went to hear them many years ago in tho Olympia in Dublin and other venues. One night they introduced a new "up-and-coming" singer called Sinéad O'Connor on a duet. She wasn't great but the gig blew me away and the lyrics got me interested in contemporary history."Chapeua" to the Waterboys!!

Amazing, - it's the first time I heard a song of this band. Great, great music ! There's magic in this rhythm. I love it.

I agree wholeheartedly. I love the Waterboys and how they capture emotion through music. These days it always seems like there are no musicians. Music is sampled. How can music come from the heart when it is programmed on a computer?

there are no more musicians like this anymore. im sad to say that most people dot know about them. the man wasnt normal. he looked for wisdom and meaning in music, and he expressed that meaning and wisdom in his music. i think most people are lost, including me. i can predict my life, and i can see myself trying to find myself, but i never do. most people dont even try. i think this is the product of someone who has found himself. i envy him.

So one guy came in took a 12-stringed guitar and started the guitar rythm you hear throughout the song. Then the next guy came, took a 12-stringer and joined...and they kept coming, when Mike finally joined they were like 10 people all with 12-stringers, that sound, that feeling, the extacy that was in the crowd by the pumping guitar rythm was one of the best musical experiences ever.
