Peter Powell killed off (no pun intended) the chart position of this Madness classic when he complained on Radio One about the subject matter when counting down the top 40. Would definitely have gone top ten without his moaning live on air!

lucky you... I was born in 1992. Sure, there was some good music coming around that time, but I wasn't old enough to experience it, was I? Now there's one or two good bands around. I want to time travel back to the late 60s and live out the punk and ska revolutions

This is quality music from an era when music was fun; meaningful lyrics complimented by catchy melodies. Unlike the drug related dross today 'performed' (??!!) by talentless, pathetic, wonnabee gangsters.

Madness are one of my favourite bands also yafudye makes a good point about having choice of genres not like now

We were sort of spoiled for choice then. We had the choice of genres.
