If I am not mistaken don't the Cubs have the most 5 run (or more) innings in the MLB. That wasn't acomplished with all home runs!! That's done with team work!! Just a little more info for Conan.

and honestly, homeruns, are you joking me conan? how many times must someone realize that baseball doesnt just revolve around the long ball. wins are focused on how well teams perform. when sammy sosa hit 66 home runs did the cubs capitalize on that, no. same with A'rod (57), McGwire (70), etc that streaked in hitting the long ball but their teams didnt turn it into a ring.. meaning homeruns are useless unless u have a team to build it on..

someone doesnt watch much baseball do they, conan? or at the very LEAST understand that the cubs swept the white sox in the same fashion that they were swept. I think, before replying to someone's comment, that one should take great heed in looking things up. might make you look like less of an ass. and as far as cubs pitching goes, can you top the cubs starters 14-5, 12-5, 12-6, 8-7, and 3-1 with the sox starting staff? cubs win by both pitching and their bats, remember, its a "team" effort

really, last time i checked we swept you too, pitching, we got 2 cy young canidates in zambrano and dempster, and a dominant pitcher harden, and a consistent pitcher in lilly, and a great bullpen, how's matt thorton doing for you guys or scott linebrink, and i love how mark burhle and javy and tearing it uo this season along with floyd, they definently get my cy young votes, my point being cy young type pitchers are more valuble then mvp type hitters, therefore pitching is more important

Cubs win by pitching? Wow you really do believe in a false sense of hope.Last time I checked the White Sox swept the Cubs like the overrated ballclub they truly are.

I'm pretty sure no one cares if the whitesox lead baseball in homeruns, the sox are in a first place tie with the twinkies, the cubs lead the nl in runs scored, have 2nd best home and overall record in baseball, lead the 2nd place brew-crew by 5.5 games, now seriously you guys better hope you end the season with the best homerun hitting team or you won't be in the playoffs this season, because thats the only way you guys score runs, the cubs win by patience, pitching, and the best fans in basebl
