This is JAn, "no", we are just lulling around. He did not play Holland in those days, i suppose, and certainly not for TV. Do you know the dullness of Dutch TV before 1975, except for VanOekel Discohoek? Or "Hoepla". (search youtube...)

You refer to the LP track from the first LP by the Animals (1964) recorded in the days of their hit "hOuse of the..." . It was " Story of B.Diddley". Indeed it is superb. There is also a live version , recorded before the LP, at a UK club, on many cheap LP issues.

I like a song The Animals do...where Eric Burdon does a tribute to Bo Diddley. It's called the History of Bo Didley or something like that. Eric showed up to pay his Respects at Bo's Funeral. R. I. P. brother Bo.

To: Jan and Gabridad, are you both saying this was filmed in Holland?

Yes, you speak of the truth. But I still defend those that were purposely preyed upon in their poor hungry hours. I do understand the limelight can blind one's eyes. But the fact still remains that "Greedy White Men" have always had the upper-hand over the wreckless decisions of Black artists. I don't condone an extravagant lifestyle for living, but those black artists were only one out of many to make it in their classes. Them selling their souls & living lavishly was bound to happen. I pray.

I was BO's friend for years and he made the BIG MISTAKE OF SELLING THE RIGHTS TO HIS OWN SONGS "THUS" NO ROYALTIES. AND LIKE "MANY" OTHER RECORDING STARS NEVER THOUGHT THE GOOD TIMES WOULD SLOW DOWN. LIKE OTHERS THAT SOMETIMES MAKE BAD DECISIONS "BLAME OTHERS".Little Richard says he was RIPPED OFF "SH*T" HE BLEW HIS MONEY FASTER THAN IT CAME IN. "TAKE THAT TO THE BANK"

Yeah, ookipanooki, they definetly ripped off Bo for "I Want Candy." Bo was also the daddy of Iggy Pop and The Stooges! |
