It depends on what emotions you are speaking of. If you're talking about love, then why should that be controlled? If you're talking about anger and even worse, hatred, then using more rationality and relying less on hasty generalizations would be the cure.

So how can we be more in control with our emotions?

Yes, I do agree with that.

It depends what perfect is. For me perfect is enjoying life, and taking the most out of each situation, being it good or bad. Perfect is not necessarily good things all the time, perfect is an attitude. But thank tou for your comment :)

Thanks :)It is important to understand emotions and feelings because they have such control over people. And it is equally important to know what we can do to make it better for us, so how can we feel better or do better in life, enjoy it more.

I don't censor them doing it, I would just like to see them do more for themsleves, for the love of their own being. Then life would be more passionate. Inducing feelings is all about choosing what you want to feel, or at least trying to feel in a certain way. It does work to some extent but it is not 100%credible, it does not solve all the sad days. Its nice to be human, its wonderful. Emotions are guides. Emotions rule the world and rule what people do.

Wihtout passion we are nowhere. Passion is the motor that makes us run. PAssion is what makes us live, feel, think, speak... But what I find quite amazing is how people do such huge and impressive things in the name of things driven by passion, such as love, friendship or hate, for other people, and cannot do huge and impressive things for themselves. It just takes the value out of it. We should be able to do more for ourselves. Afterall we are able of doing it for other people.

Exactly, people are lazy and dont like to think. It is much easier to accept things and not question anything. Yes it was Freud who said that. I would like to understand consciousness because it would open so many doors, and actually make a difference in so many matters, in this matter and in religion for example. |
