Don't get me wrong, I like the CRJ Next Gens (-700/900/1000), but the reason I chose the CRJ to pick on was because there are so many of them, and no matter what airport you go to, it is ALMOST guaranteed that you will see at least one CRJ... No harm, no foul though :)

CRJs are really nice aircraft. and although i have never flown a 727 i still think it is an awsome plane for its time, but still he is entitled to his oppinion.

I flew on an American airlines 727 back in july of 2001. That was back in the good 'ol days when you could go into the cockpit when the plane landed and talk with the pilots. It was a beautiful aircraft. Now all I need to do is find an L-1011 and fly on that to be a happy man!

Such a beautiful sound. Those Pratt & Whitney JT8Ds ROARING to get that beautiful boeing off the runway, with smoke pouring out of the exhaust. They don't make them like this anymore :-(

Long live the 727
JMG717 (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
Not necessarily, Some 727s and even DC9s have maybe a JT8D-9A on one side, and -7B on the other, or some 727s have 2 -15s and a -15A. I have seen it happen. It does not happen often, but it does happen. It really all depends on what is available when needed

How can you hate the 727? Go pick on a CRJ or something
superhippy84 (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
The 727's airframe from 1971 in my perspective is much weaker than any other aircraft i have encountered in much of avation's long lived history. Thus bringing me to the conclusion that i hate this plane physically and mentally from a pilots view.
