Hell's Kitchen is a game show with people who are supposed to know how to cook. EVERYONE there would DIE to work for him. The guys is a HUGE success. In the Kitchen Nightmare show, he isn't being a screaming maniac because he likes it, he genuinely WANTS to help these people and he dishes out TOUGH love not to insult but to see people succeed. He's helped A LOT of them turn their failing businesses around. Some people NEED to be torn down so they can be rebuilt the RIGHT way.

You'll find this kind of attitude in absolutely every over-achiever, or as a Myers-Brigs test would put it, such a person would be classified as an 'E.S.T.J' = Extraverted, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging type of personality.

He's not treating people like shit, in a few shows on Nightmare Kitchens he's said that many of the head chefs that taught Ramsay treated him the same way, and he loved them for it. He only does it to help them. Ramsay went through the same treatment he gives everyone else, and for good reason.
