A Tribute To Freeman Goodge (aka Dad)

Photo-montage of Dad's life (as a missionary, preacher, husband, father, grandfather & friend)and the memorial service in Rockford, Illinois as well as the interment in Hixson, Tennessee.Freeman O. Goodge, 80, of Rockford, Ill., went to be with the Lord at 2 a.m. Sunday, May 25, 2008, in his residence after a long illness.Born May 6, 1928, in Lake Butler, Fla., the son of James W. and Bessie Parrish Goodge. Predeceased by Martha Baugher Goodge in 1993. Married Dawne Smith in Jacksonville, Fla., on March 10, 1996. Dad served as a missionary and pastor for 59 years in churches in the United States, Cayman Islands, Anguilla, West Indies and Belfast, Northern Ireland. Member of North Love Baptist Church [Rockford Illinois] and missionary with Baptist International Missions Inc. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Although we know Dad is in Heaven now and his suffering is over, he is much missed.
