he asked to be injected LSD to reduce his pain due to cancer, he was on his deathbed before the injection and he was well aware he would die, thus LSD was used only to make his death more bearable

the molecule is still the same, the synthesis is still the same. It is just about finding the right chemist with the right equipment to make it. besides as low as the active dose for LSD is, you are either getting at least some acid or nothing at all. Not much else can fit in a small blotter paper at an active dose.
