HEAT, APFSDS, AT mines, etc. There are many things out there that can destroy a tank but a bullet will not do anything to a tank, even armor piercing rounds will only scratch the armor of most tanks. You really need explosives or an inertia penetrator from another tank to do the trick. Half an inch long? You just described some sort of DU pistol round.

Dude, are you kidding? If you are so smart and intelligent why don't you go and tell the engineers, scientists, researchers, and all the people who are involved in the development? I bet they will hire you right away!
