I like the jump from dark and dramatic to funny and cheery with the OAV. I hated the main show just because it was too damn emotional (Yes, I cried...) and Akane Maniax was a good OAV to watch after it.

it's an OVA for Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. It is only 3 episodes, and it's a comedy (stupid kind of funny). The original show is a drama, extremely dark, probably one of the saddest animes out there.
