You're righg, mara, children of immigrants invariably adopt the dialect of their neighborhood if it's differnt from their parents'. There is the possibility that Flatley studied in Ireland and picked up the accent? Some people do that without trying.Also if he spends a lot of time with his troop, they're mostly Irish, aren't they? I liked the old Riverdance when it was Irish step dancing and Flatley was the star instead of the star and conductor. ;) Maybe this was geared for Budapest?

yea, but i know ppl who have parents that are irish immigrants and have really heavy accents, but they have no accent. Unless he was brought up in a primary irish immigrant area, but that doesnt make sense with his age. It wasnt the 1920's

how does flatley have an irish accent when he was born and raised in america? ohh and it seems that he does the same moves in all his dances, but he is amazing.
