God, this brings back great memories! I saw Fishbone in Boston in the late 80's and still tell everyone it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. It's a crying shame that their music went from this great ska sound to an aggressive rock sound which I just couldn't get into at all. This style is much more fun! Love the trumpets!

I saw you guys last night at We the People festival, and you guys fucking rocked it. The best mosh pit was at your show i loved it, you guys have crazy energy! I bumped into Andre Padre after your show had to shake his hand :D well after having carried him over my head on a few songs i felt it was right. Hope to see you guys soon!

I'm not sure I 100% agree, but I do think you're mostly right. While a good chunk of America doesn't care about skin color, there's still lotta folks that even if they don't care, they can't relate to groups that are all black/asian/brown. There's gotta be a white guy/gal in there to give them someone to vibe. I've lived all over the USA since the early 80s. Some places, all you hear is country music. Others, rock/metal/etc. It's amazing really that rap/hip hop ever broke out like it has.

Hrmm.. could be? If you're from So Cal, or even Northern California for that matter, Fishbone was huge out here. I wasn't really even into Ska before them despite liking lots of musical genres. But back in the 80s, if you liked to go to clubs, you HAD to have at least heard of them, if not being an outright fan. It always surprised me to see guys who were 100% into metal only, or thrash, or rap.. yet they'd love Fishbone. Not ska, just da 'bone. Once you saw them live, the reason became clear.
