Poor Pygmys. As if they existed to be captured, instead of being met. It was the 1930's, though, so such thinking may not have been common then, or at least the entertainment value was more valuable.

This {and the majority of these cartoons} was originally released in sepiatone, a brownish tint used by the studio to save money by not filming in "Technicolor". Isadore "Friz" Freleng, the one who initially warned MGM not to waste their money by producing this series, got a rare on-screen credit for this one.... |
