look up fuwa on wikepedia, each one has a special meaning. btw, why didnt zhang yimou use 12 gb in the olympics?? that would have been better, the old mixed with the modern.

mh? you're mixing up japanese modern design with asian aesthetic sense. the problem of the mascots is that they are too traditional. the author wanted to do something else but communist party bosses ordered him to draw pandas and ancient patterns etc

I've always admired Asian aesthetic sense, the appreciation for simple lines, planes etc... but WHAT THE HECK WAS UP WITH THESE DUMBA** blowup mascots??!!! Good grief, its like MANGA is invading the world.Oi Vey
