By the way, before I leave, may I ask, whatever happened to the big mall project of Landco that's suppose to rise at the back of San Agustin Cathedral? The mall project of Ayala's (definitely not the Alegria Hills!)? I remember all of these when former Mayor Emano, in his regular Saturday Sandy101(is this station already reformatted?just asking..) gig, proudly announces the several projects that suppose to raise the bar of CDO's cityscape...I'd love to hear from u guys..

Ayaw lang jud mo kalain nako ha?I love the city so much that I can't allow other cities to go past it.Sayang jud kaayo mga potentials sa syudad..Benchmarking strengths from other cities doesn't hurt;it could even help!Let's face the reality:CDO has a lot of catching up to do.Infra, direct investments, transpo(the altis-pride is so worn-out!),tourism, IT-these must be worked on closely, and FAST!Let's not wait for Iligan, Gingoog or Butuan to overtake us..that'll be scary!

I repeat. UGLY CITY HALL! Hahahaha! Why don;t you just take a lead among Philippine cities by constructing a city hall something like London's? Hehehe...far-fetched, but as the cliche goes IF THERE'S A WILL, THERE'S A WAY!Or perhaps, a minimalist building harnessing natural lighting and airconditioning? Next, CDO has been sidetracked by the likes of Dumaguete and Bacolod in attracting big CSR companies such as Teletech and Teleperformance. what's wrong? Think harder! or better yet, WORK HARDER!

It's a pity if you got used to living in Cebu because the term FAST RISING,which is commonly tagged to CDO by many proud Cagay-anons like me,doesn't usually hold water. When I go home,it feels like nothing signficant has changed-chaotic traffic, dirty sidewalks(if there are sidewalks anyway!),ugly ciy hall.We can do better than brandish the latest Altis cabs and whitewater rafting! This is a bay city that's suppose to rock! I love to see CDo being at par with Cebu. Work harder!

Well, all I can tell you is ,its really one of the safest cities.I was born there,I spent most of my life there, and that never did I experienced feeling unsafe even during those times when the country was in turmoil.I live in CA. now.

I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Comparable to CDO in population. One of the more decent cities in the US. Much richer than CDO but has much more robbery and homicide. |
