He died at home. That's where he would have wanted to be. He was rushed to the hospital but it was too late.

RKURT61 said that Hughie died in a hospital. Everything I've read says he died at home. Someone is full of shit! Hope it isn't me! LOL!

It's funny, but strange. I grew up in NJ loving The Outlaws. I saw them play many times in clubs and stadiums up north.A few years ago I moved to Brooksville, FL. Little did I know that Hughie lived here. He died at Brooksville Regional Hospital, not more then 5 miles from my house now.R.I.P. HT - Long live The Outlaws!

Hughie is amazing. I saw his pretty white guitar on display at the Hard Rock Cafe in Houston tonight.

I used to have a slide show tribute like this for Ronnie Van Zant, but someone from Cleopatra Records was being a JERK sayingit was violating Copyright issues.
