the scripts are almost the same, you could watch both shows at the same time, and with a few little changes it was the exact same words. Look at threes company, that too was taken verbatim from man about the house. also george and mildred (the ropers).

How can you even begin to compare garbage like steptoe and son to the fabulous comedy hit of Sanford and Son?Steptoe and son is about a pair of rags and bones low lifes who live in a flea gutterd death trap.Sanford and son is about two clean and fairly decent men who use their franchise as their home.
