Why are most African countires so poor and lacking even the basic modern technologies?

i understand your frustration. coming from a developing country, i can say misappropriation of funds is commong in poor countries where the people who manage to get in power are more occupied in getting their hands full than giving back to the nation. what i'm saying is, when you never had enough, you'll try to get as much as you can whenever the chance arises.

Cause that's Africa. Simple as that. Africa is polar to North America, North America is a different planet. With things like "Antibacterial Wet Ones" packages. Africa isn't like that, well at-least not the majority.

great vid and a good way of getting this point across and i am in no way trying to undermine this charity but it just angers me that why in 2008 cant african government provide the basic human right of safe clean drinking water for its people why arnt these goverments brought before the int community and asked why they can but arms but cant provide a ground pump its time the world started to ask these questions africa needs to look to its self to begin to solve its problems.

good way of getting this point over and i am in no way trying to undermine the good work being done but i just fail to see why in 2008 African goverments are still allowed to get away without providing the basic human right of safe clean drinking water for there people why these government should face the UN and asked why they can afford to buy Chinese arms but leave there people without water its time the world began to ask these questions.

People on myspace are seriously writing comments like, "umm , they have chemicals that go through like chemicals throuh a water company that purifes the water.....so people need to wake up ...we need to protest about why permicious sex is wrong and free our right to get high peace"and "IF A PEOPLE ARE TOO STUPID TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO CLEAN THEIR DRINKING WATER LIKE EVERY OTHER CULTURE DID BACK IN THE DAY BEFORE TECH THEN THEY DONT DESERVE TO BE SAVED!!!we ruin our gene pool that way"Really.

my family gave 2000$ tho this charitybecause it is a real charitynobody even was paid for being in the commercialthey all did it for this causebecause it its a real thing happeningand too many people are too ignorant to understand it.just like this one guy said " even if all water sources vanished,people wouldnt stoop low enough and drink that water"when its all you have,to live,to keep your children alive,its what you drink..and they live with it.while we complain about our "hard lives"

nothing everyone donated their time for the cause. jennifer , the entire cast and crew even the music was written and donated. if you noticed the ad was not on tv just idol gives back which was donated time for the cause. they're all trying. |
